All our Thistledown Bears are collectables and are not toys.

The Alpaca Story.........Each little bear (or friend) is 100% unique, no other bear in the world will look exactly like it they are made totally from our 100% Alpaca, either our hand spun or mill spun yarns, wearing hand spun or mill spun garments.  All our Alpacas are shorn in the month of May and the process of fibre sorting and spinning produces the most luxurious Alpaca yarns.  The processing of fibre to yarn can take in the region of 30 hours, all of this is done by hand.  All our yarn is 100% natural Alpaca no chemicals or dyes used in any process.  Each little bear has been lovingly hand knit from our yarn, then carefully hand sewn together, dressed individually and then gently brushed to make them even more soft and huggable.  Every little bear carries an authenticity certificate showing its unique number and a photograph of the Alpaca that has so lovingly given up its luxurious fibre enabling us to harvest it, spin it, and produce something so cute and huggable ................... the Thistledown Teddy is born!  All come with our Thistledown Alpaca  label.
